Parks & Recreation
The Dysart City Park is a wonderful area, which is kept up by City employees and the helpful volunteers of our town. We offer a children's play area, restrooms, an open and enclosed shelter house, Gazebo, as well as a baseball diamond and basketball and tennis courts. Several events are held here throughout the year, including 4th of July celebration. It is a great place to just let the kids come and play!
**To reserve a shelter house or the Gazebo, call City Hall at 319-476-5690 for availability. Rental fees are $25 for the enclosed and $15 for the open shelter. The Gazebo is $25 (8AM - 2PM), $25 (2PM - 8PM), or all day rental is $45.
Dysart is also home to the one-mile long paved C.R. Roberts Nature Trail. It covers the area from X Avenue east to Highway 21. The unpaved Old Creamery Nature Trail continues east to the cities of Garrison and Vinton. People are welcome to walk, run, and ride bikes down the trail. Both offer lovely scenery and wildlife.
