The Dysart Historical Society is dedicated to preserving the community’s historical treasures through educational enrichment for all ages. The Dysart Historical Center features a complex of four buildings: a historical museum, a one-room rural school, an agricultural museum, and an interpretive center. The Dysart Historical Center is a proud partner site in the Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area. Silos & Smokestacks spans 37-counties in Northeast Iowa and is dedicated to preserving the agricultural heritage of our area. The Center works to further the organization's mission by telling the following stories: Farm to Factory, Farmers and Families, Higher Yields, Organizing for Agriculture, The Change Farm, The Fertile Land
